Comprehensive initial Evaluation
- A comprehensive initial evaluation is completed prior to any individualized Myofunctional Therapy program.
Your Myofunctional Therapy initial evaluation has a holistic approach. We want to get to know you as a whole person. Your concerns are what we prioritize the most. Your medical, dental, feeding, pain, and family history, as well as your habits, sleep, lifestyle and current conditions are also key components as they connect and help us find the root causes and underlying issues.
At the 60–90-minute initial evaluation, we conduct a thorough assessment of the extra and intra orofacial muscles, dentition, function, breathing, chewing and swallowing patterns. Photos and videos are taken to guide the evaluation process.
We strive to make all evaluations a comfortable and educational experience. For children, we make sure it is fun!
From there, we connect your overall health and history to our findings, and if necessary, referring you to the right allied healthcare provider as a part of a team treatment approach. Our goal is to provide the best care plan possible by individualizing and customizing your treatment to promote optimum orofacial muscle development, function and harmony, and overall health and wellness.
